TYPICAL SUMMER WEATHER WITH WARM TEMPERATURES AND INCREASING
HUMIDITY….
Sunshine mixed with mid and upper level clouds has made for a
decent summer day.
Temperatures have warmed into the mid to upper 80s this
afternoon, so we have to returned to above normal levels. This
is the first day of an extended hot period for the area. In
additions to the warming temperatures, humidity levels have
also been on the increase with the dew point pushing into the
mid 60s today, destined for the oppressive 70s by tomorrow.
Winds on the ligher side during the morning, but have picked
up some this afternoon. A general westerly wind has been
averaging around 10mph for the day so far. The peak gust so
far for the day is 21mph which occurred just after 2pm this
afternoon.
Visibility has been decent today with the view holding between
40-50 miles.
The maximum temperature so far today is 87F, which is 5 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 63F, which is 1 degree below the normal low of 64F.
