A SPECTACULAR SPRING DAY ONGOING HERE IN LATE APRIL….
Plenty of sunshine, pleasant temperatures, and a drier air mass
has been the theme today. Couple all of this with light wind and
excellent visibility, it’s a near perfect day to be outdoors.
Temperatures have warmed into the upper 60s early this afternoon,
which is around 5-10 degrees above normal levels for this time of
year. Dew point values have been holding in the 30s, indicating
a significantly drier air mass than yesterday. It feels rather
refreshing out there today compared to the humid feel of
yesterday.
The wind has been fairly steady aside for the couple of hours
this morning where they were on the light side. It has also
gradually backed from a northerly to westerly direction through
the course of the morning into early this afternoon. The average
speed so far is around 10mph. The peak gust occurred just after
6am with a value of 23mph.
Visibility has been excellent all day, holding at around 70 miles.
The maximum temperature for today is 69F degrees, which is 9
degrees above the normal high of 60F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 43F degrees, which is 2 degrees above the
normal low of 41F.
