BREEZY, COOLER AND LESS HUMID TODAY UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….
We started the day with more sun than clouds, but as the ground
warmed, convective clouds began to develop by mid morning and
have overtaken the sky by early this afternoon. Despite the
cloud cover, it has been dry (on a Sunday no less) and a very
nice day overall.
Temperatures are about 10 degrees cooler today than yesterday
with readings reaching the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.
With dew point dropping from the low 60s to the upper 50s, it
also feels more comfortable today than yesterday.
Winds have been pretty busy through the day, but really became
gusty after 7am this morning. A generally westerly flow has been
averaging at around 15mph for the day so far. Gusts have been
frequently getting up to around 30mph, with a peak gust so far
of 33mph occurring just after 9am.
Visibility has been limited once again today due to haziness.
The view has been around 35-40 miles all day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 78F degrees, which is
5 degrees above the normal high of 73F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 62F degrees, which is 7 degrees above the
normal low of 55F.
