VERY PLEASANT DAY WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND COMFORTABLE
TEMPERATURES….
Today has featured plenty of sunshine with a drier air mass and
very pleasant temperatures. Definitely a very fine late spring
day here on the summit of Blue Hill.
Temperatures are near seasonable levels with readings in the mid
70s this afternoon. Dew point values are very comfortable as well
with readings dropping from the low 50s to the upper 40s.
Winds were a bit gusty overnight, but dropped off early this
morning with generally light speed for the remainder of the day.
It started out of a northerly direction, but became a bit of a
sea-breeze by early this afternoon. The average speed for the
day so far is around 8mph. The peak gust of 20mph occurred at
midnight.
Visibility has been excellent all day with the view around 70
miles all day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 76F degrees, which is
3 degrees above the normal high of 73F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 52F degrees, which is 3 degrees below the
normal low of 55F.
