Blue Hill Observatory now streams four live cameras from the summit of Great Blue Hill. Watch weather roll in over Boston, catch the sunrise, follow the fall colors across the Blue Hills Reservation, or check conditions before you hike.

The system streams to YouTube, restarts automatically, and recovers on its own after an outage, so the view stays up even when the weather turns. The North and West views also feed the Blue Hill page on HazeCam, the regional air quality camera network.

The cameras proved their value right away. During the September nor’easter, viewers watched the storm unfold from the summit as the Observatory recorded a 58 mph gust and record rainfall.
