A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS WITH CONTINUED WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS….
It’s still warm and humid today, but it’s not as bad as yesterday.
We’ve observed a mix of sun and clouds through the day. The cloud
have consisted mainly of the cirrus variety, but diurnal cumulus
have also popped up. A thin layer of wild fire smoke has also been
observed passing overhead today from the fires out in the Pacific
Northwest.
Temperatures are still above normal today with readings reaching
the mid 80s early this afternoon. Dew point values are a bit lower
today with readings in the low to mid 60s. While it’s still a bit
humid, it’s not as bas as yesterday when readings were in the low
70s.
Winds have been mainly on the light side today. It started out of
the west-northwest, then gradually veered all the way around to
southwest. The average speed for the day so far is around 8mph.
The peak gust for the day so far is 18mph which occurred just after
12:45pm this afternoon.
Visibility has held steady at around 40 miles for the day due to
haziness.
The maximum temperature so far today is 86F, which is 5 degrees
above the normal high of 81F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 66F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 63F.
