HEAVY RAIN COMES TO AN END THIS MORNING AS TEMPS
RISE TO A MAX OF 58F, WINDS GUSTING NEAR 50 MPH

Much needed rain fell in the region overnight, beginning
just before midnight last night. Rain came to an end this
morning at 6:56 AM EST, with a total of 1.18 inches of new
precipitation. This newest rainfall dropped the monthly deficit
to 1.01 inches below normal for the month, and 7.95 inches
for the year.

Winds gusted to an official peak of 44 MPH this morning, just
after 3:00 AM EST, with an unseasonably warm maximum temperature
of 58F recorded near 6:00 AM EST this morning.

Fog and a low cloud deck has gradually cleared this morning,
and by the 1:00 PM EST observation skies were mostly clear
of clouds with the remains of showers distant offshore to the E.

few cumulus fractus in all directions
