INCREASING AFTERNOON CLOUDS WITH BREEZY NW FLOW TODAY….
Skies were partly cloudy this morning with a bit of a chill to
start, with gusty NW winds. As the day progressed, we had plenty
of sunshine though cloud cover increased by early afternoon. Still
though, it’s been an overall pleasant day with dry conditions and
relatively comfortable dew points.
Temperatures have been around normal today, starting around 50F
this morning and maxing out around 70F so far for the day. Dew
points have been hovering in the mid to upper 40’s throughout
the day, which has felt a bit dry for this time of year.
Winds have been steady with some occasional gusts during the early
morning hours and again in the early afternoon. Winds have been
mostly out of the northwest, bringing a slight cooler air mass to
the area. The average speed for the day so far is around 11mph.
The peak gust for the day so far is 30mph, which occurred just
before 7am this morning.
Visibility has remained steady at around 40-50 miles throughout
the day, with a slight decrease by the early afternoon. A smoke
plume to the WNW has been observed since mid morning.
The maximum temperature so far today is 70F degrees, which is
equal to the normal high. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 50F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the normal low of 52F.
