WARMER TEMPERATURES CONTINUE WITH A VARIABLE WIND….
Today is yet another very nice day with plenty of sunshine and
above normal temperatures. With winds generally being on the
light side, it’s very pleasant for any outdoor activities today.
Temperatures started the day in the low to mid 40s and quickly
rose to the mid to upper 60s by early this afternoon. We are
running around 10 degrees above normal for the day. Dew point
values have been generally holding in the 30s, so the air mass
is still quite dry and comfortable.
Winds were steady overnight, then dropped off being on the
light side through the morning hours. But are picking up a bit
early this afternoon as the air pressure falls and some mixing
takes place from aloft. A general westerly flow has been
averaging at around 10mph for the day so far. The peak gust for
the day so far is 20mph, which occurred just after 12:30am this
morning.
Visibility has not been as great as the past few days, but is
still on the decent side. The view has been generally between
50-60 miles throughout the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 68F, which is 11 degrees
above the normal high of 57F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 43F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 40F.
