ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY ON THE HILL WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER
TEMPS AND INCREASING CLOUDS….
We started the day with plenty of blue sky and some mid level clouds
and a bit cooler than the previous days. Cloud cover has slowly
increased as the day has progressed. By the 1pm observation we were
nearly overcast.
Temperatures dipped down to 40F during the early morning hours. With
the sunshine and light winds early on, temperatures improved to the
lower 60’s before increase of clouds and wind slowed the temperature
progress. Dew points have remained in the lower 30s today which has
made it a very comfortable day to be outdoors.
Winds have been steady today with a lull in the early morning and
some occasional gusts during the late morning and early afternoon
hours as the temperature rose. Winds have been mostly out of the
west and west-northwest with an average so far today around 10mph.
The peak gust so far is 32mph, which occurred just after 12:11pm
this afternoon.
Visibility has been holding steady at around 60 miles throughout
the day. Pollen has been observed in the area and has prevented
us from having a higher visibility.
The maximum temperature so far today is 61F degrees, which is
4 degrees below the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 40F degrees, which is 6 degrees below the normal
low of 46F.
