ANOTHER VERY PLEASANT FALL DAY IN PROGRESS UNDER MAINLY SUNNY SKIES
AND SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES….
Today is once again featuring plenty of sunshine with some building
diurnal cumulus clouds popping up thanks to a cool pool of air aloft
over the region. The air isn’t quite as clear as it was yesterday
as the visibility lowered a bit from 80 miles early this morning to
70 miles by early this afternoon. Nonetheless, it’s still a great
day for any outdoor activities.
Temperatures started the day in the mid 40s again today, but warmed
into the low to mid 60s by early this afternoon. The dew point has
been fairly steady in the low 40s all day.
Winds have been fairly steady today averaging around 9mph mainly
out of the west-northwest. It has become a bit gusty early this
afternoon, again thanks to the aforementioned mixing from aloft.
The peak gust so far is 24mph, which occurred around noon-time.
The maximum temperature so far today is 63F, which is 1 degree
below the normal high of 64F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 46F, which is 1 degree below the normal low of 47F.
