CONTINUED WINDY AND COLD UNDER SUNNY SKIES….

Sunshine has been the theme so far today with only a few clouds
observed across the sky in all quadrants.

Despite all the sun, temperatures continued to be on the cold side
with values rising from the mid-upper teens early this morning to the
mid 20s by early this afternoon. Dew point values also continue to
run in the single digits, indicating that the arctic air mass remains
over the region.

Winds are quite gusty again today keeping wind chill values in the
single digits to low teens. The average speed for the day so far is
around 20mph. Frequent gusts over 40mph have been observed today,
with a peak gust so far of 48mph occurring at 11:52am.

Visibility has been decent today with a view of around 60-70 miles
today.

The maximum temperature for today is 27F degrees, which is 8 degrees
below the normal high of 35F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 17F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the normal low of 19F.
