PLENTY OF FILTERED SUNSHINE, BUT CHILLY TODAY WITH A FRESHENING WIND….

High thin clouds have been filtering the sunshine all day today
leading to an overall nice day. However temperatures are well below
normal making it a rather chilly feeling out there, especially with
the low dew point and onshore breeze.

The temperature started the day in the mid-upper 20s, but has only
slowly rebounded to the low 40s by early this afternoon. This is
nearly 10 degrees below normal for early April standards. The dew
point started the day very low as well, down around 10F, but has
risen thanks to the onshore flow, into the low 20s.

Winds were steady overnight, then decreased through this morning
before picking up again early this afternoon. They also veered from
the north-northwest overnight to the east by early this afternoon.
The average speed for the day so far is around 10mph. The peak gust
so far, which occurred just after midnight, is 28mph.

Visibility has been quite decent today, averaging at around 60-70
miles all day.

The maximum temperature for today is 42F degrees, which is 8 degrees
below the normal high of 50F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 27F degrees, which is 6 degrees below the normal low of 33F.
