Monday afternoon’s maximum temperature of 92F was reached
just after 2:30 PM EST, tying the previous daily record of
92F set back in 2007. Overnight, temperatures dipped to a
unseasonably warm 70F, some 13 degrees above the daily norm.

Hazy and more humid conditions, along with plentiful sunshine
have characterized today, with exceptional heat by mid day. At
the 1:00 PM EST observation a maximum temperature of 94F had
been recorded, breaking today’s daily record temperature of
93F set back in 2007.
