DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY

ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

CHILLY BEGINNING TO A DRY, CLEAR, SUNNY
AND LIGHT WIND DAY…

Pressure continued to rise overnight bringing
a clear, sunny and light wind day to Great Blue
Hill. The morning began chilly with wind coming
from the N. We observed a low of 19F, which is
11 degrees below the normal low of 30F, just before
7:00 A.M. Around 8:00 A.M. the wind shifted from
the north to the south and temperatures began
rising. Although temperatures have risen 20 degrees
since 6:00 A.M., the high of 39F so far today is
still 6 degrees below the daily normal of 45F.
Due to high pressure in the area the wind has been
light and variable throughout the day.
The sky has remained clear all day with a few
cumulus to the east and eventually scattered cirrus
clouds. The southern wind brought a distant haze
into the area that kept visibility at 70 miles all day.
