MAINLY SUNNY AND COOL WITH A LIGHT BREEZE….
An area of high pressure is building over the region which is
giving us a pleasantly cool air mass for today. A mix of clouds
and sun has been the theme for today with a light northerly
breeze. All in all its another very pleasant day for any outdoor
activities.
Temperatures remain on the cooler side of normal, but are still
within the seasonable range for this time of year. Readings have
reached the low 60s by early this afternoon. The dew point
continues to run on the lower side for this time of year with
values dropping from the mid 30s to the lower 30s.
Winds were light most of the day, but have increased a bit early
this afternoon thanks to mixing from aloft. It has spent most of
the day out of the north-northwest, but has backed more to the
west-northwest in the last hour. The average speed for the day
so far is around 9mph. The peak gust so far for the day is 23mph,
which occurred just after the 1pm observation.
Visibility has been quite decent for this time of year with the
view holding at around 70 miles through the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 63F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 66F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 42F degrees, which is 5 degrees below the
normal low of 47F.
