THUNDERSTORMS ROLL THROUGH WORCESTER AND
METRO NORTH BOSTON LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON,
ONLY A TRACE FALLS AT GREAT BLUE HILL

A massive anvil was observed late yesterday afternoon
NW of the station moving E, which brought severe
wind damage to sections of Metro North Boston. For a
brief period of time the National Weather Service issued
a tornado warning after radar picked up possible rotation.

Most storms stayed north of the station with only a trace
of precipitation falling at Great Blue Hill later in
the evening.

By 1:00 PM EST today, skies were hazy with only 15 miles
of visibility to the NW-NNE. A maximum of 88F had been
reached by this time as well.
