ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
HOT AND HUMID WITH NEAR RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE AGAIN…
After coming only 1 degree shy of the record high for
yesterday, we’ve come within 2 degrees of the record
high for today. As of 1 P.M. today we’ve recorded a
high of 95.0, the record for today is 97 degrees set
in 1931! A brief rain shower did knock the temperature
back into the low 80s between 1-2 P.M., however it’s
currently recovering back close to 90 degrees.
So far we’ve had a low temperature of 76 degrees, if
this holds through midnight tonight, this will be a
new record high minimum for the date. The previous
record is 74 degrees set in 1919!
In addition to the high heat, humidity levels have
been on the high side with dew points in the low 70s
most of the day. This has yielded heat indices in the
over 100F at times.
The high so far today is 95 degrees. This is 14 degrees
above the daily normal high of 81F. The low since
midnight is 76F, which is 13 degrees above the daily
normal low of 63F
