MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WITH DRY AIR GIVES WAY FOR LOWER DEW POINTS
AND MORE FAVORABLE CONDITIONS TODAY…

Today has been a picture perfect summer day! Mostly clear skies
and warm sunshine have been paired with breezy NNE winds cooling
the region down to bring us just below the average temperature.
Fair weather cirrus clouds have been present all day with the
occasional cumulus clouds forming with the warming by the sun.

Along with last night’s rain, a dry air mass moved into the area
giving us some reprieve from the higher dew points. Today we
have been hovering in the mid 50’s which feels considerably better
than what we experienced yesterday. Today has been an ideal day for
any outdoor activities.

We had a peak gust late last night from the ENE and it stayed
rather breezy through the overnight hours, with a peak gust today
so far around 29mph just after 2am. Wind has mainly been out of the
NE and NNE directions today with an average of about 10mph.

Visibility has been in the 50-60 mile range today, thanks in part
to the lower dew points and relative humidity.

The maximum temperature so far today has been 74F, which is
6 degrees below the normal high of 80F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 59F, which is 3 degrees below the normal low
of 62F.
