STORMY DAY WITH RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES, AND THUNDER…

The rain began late yesterday overnight and we measured
0.18 ins by 7:00 A.M. today and an additional 1.04 ins. by
1:00 P.M. We heard rumbles of thunder intermittently throughout
the day beginning around 8:45 A.M. EST. this morning. The thunder
was heard again around 9:30 A.M., just before 12:00 P.M. EST and
then a few more in the afternoon ending at 12:45 P.M. The max
temperature so far today has been below normal with a high of 70F,
which is 9 degrees below the daily normal of 79F. Temperatures
only warmed 2 degrees between 7:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M., this was
due to the high humidity and cloud cover keeping temperatures fairly
constant. Humidity was over 95% 7:00 A.M. all day causing us to be
socked in the fog atop of Great Blue Hill, with the greatest visibility
of 10 miles at 10:00 A.M. The wind today was moderate and from the south
with frequent gusts over 20 kts (23 MPH).
