OVERCAST AND WARM WITH INCREASING HUMIDITY AND WIND….
Skies have been generally overcast all day with a few minor
breaks of sun during the morning. A few very light showers
have moved through from time to time since the wee hours of
the morning, but they haven’t amounted to any more than a
trace.
Temperatures so far have been held in the low to mid 70s
due to the lack of sunshine, but the dew point has been
rising from the upper 50s early this morning to the mid 60s
by late this morning.
The wind has been quite busy today out of the south. The
average speed for the day so far is around 17mph. Gusts have
been ramping up throughout the day and have been reaching the
50mph mark early this afternoon. So far the peak gust for the
day is 52mph, which occurred after the 1pm observation.
Visibility has been limited all day due to the increased
moisture in the air. The view started the day around 50 miles,
but has dropped to around 35 miles for the remainder of the
day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 73F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 76F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 60F degrees, which is 1 degree above the
normal low of 59F.
