Today had its clouds, but they never covered more than half
the sky. Sunshine was abundant, and the visibility hung
around 75 miles for most of the day. Wind was northeasterly,
picking up a little in the afternoon hours. There seem to
be more gusts around 20 mph and an average speed of 15 mph
following the 1 P.M. observation.

Rainfall deficit for the year is currently 4.12 inches,
leaving us with an “abnormally dry” rating on the
drought monitor map. This is consistent with much of
the greater Boston area.

The high today so far today is 59F, this is 6 degrees above
the normal high of 53F. The low since midnight is 47F, which
is 12 degrees above the daily normal low of 35F.
