DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

SUNNY SKIES HAVE GIVEN WAY TO HIGH CLOUDS AS TEMPERATURES
STRUGGLE TO GET OUT OF THE LOWER 50S

A cold start to the morning with temperatures reaching freezing
left frost on the ground in many places.  The 7 o’clock observation
saw temperatures barely above freezing and excellent visibilities
under clear skies.

Clear skies gave way to high level cirrostratus clouds as
temperatures climbed into the lower 50s by the 1 o’clock
observation.  Visibilities remained high and the excellent views
both in the distance and of the local fall foliage made for a great
viewing day from the summit.
