MUCH LESS HUMID, BUT STILL QUITE WARM UNDER SUNNY SKIES TODAY….
We started with some cloud cover early this morning, but it
quickly moved out to sea during the morning. This has allowed
for a very bright sunny day today. While it is still on the
warm side, it’s not quite as hot as yesterday and certainly
not nearly as humid. With a nice northwesterly breeze, it’s
been a top ten type day, on a weekend no less!
Temperatures dropped into the upper 60s early this morning,
but quickly recovered to the mid 80s by early this afternoon.
The biggest difference today however is the lower humidity
levels. The dew point has been holding in the mid to upper 50s
after being in the low to mid 70s yesterday. It feels rather
refreshing today, especially with a bit of a breeze.
The wind was gusty overnight and through the morning hours
today. However, the trend has been on the decrease as we move
through the early afternoon hours. A general northwest flow
has been averaging at around 12mph for the day. The peak gust
for the day occurred just before 2am this morning with a value
of 36mph.
Visibility has been excellent all day with a view of around
70 miles. This is simply spectacular for this time of year!
The maximum temperature so far today is 86F degrees, which is
11 degrees above the normal high of 75F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 68F degrees, which is 11 degrees above the
normal low of 57F.
