A QUIET MORNING REPLACED WITH MULTIPLE SHOWERS/STORMS…

We started the day With quiet conditions. A mix of sun
and mainly high clouds, transitioned to cumulus and
towering cumulus, then finally cumulonimbus by late
morning with a few showers and thunderstorms taking
place early this afternoon.

Wind has been quite light today with an average since
7 A.M. of only 3.3 mph. Wind direction has also been
quite variable swinging to all directions depending on
location of thunderstorms (outflow from the storms).

0.12″ of rain fell between 11-12, with an
additional 0.03″ fall after the 1 P.M. observation.
Showers are continuing to fall through mid afternoon,
so we’ll have a total tally tomorrow morning.

The high so far today is 85F, 6 degrees above the
daily normal maximum of 79F. The low since midnight
is 66F, which is 5 degrees above the normal minimum
of 61F.
