DRY COMFORTABLE WEATHER CONTINUES ONE MORE DAY….
The upper level trough over the region this weekend continues to
provide us with exceptional summer weather for this time of year.
Today has featured mainly sunny skies with some periods of mainly
mid level clouds during the morning. It’s a continuation of the
spectacular weather we saw over the weekend.
Temperatures are warmer today than yesterday despite an overall
onshore flow, but the wind is quite light today. Readings have
warmed into the low 80s early this afternoon. Dew point values
remain on the comfortable side with readings in the low to mid
50s throughout the day so far.
As mentioned, the wind has been quite light today. The average
speed for the day so far is only around 5mph. There hasn’t been
much of any gusts today as the peak “gust” for the day so far
is only 11mph, which occurred just before 5am this morning.
Visibility has decreased a bit since early this morning as some
haziness begins to increase. The view dropped from around 50
miles early this morning to around 40 miles by late this morning
and early this afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 81F, which is 1 degree
below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 54F, which is 10 degrees below the normal low of 64F.
