AND PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….
Seasonable temperatures today to start the weekend and with
dry air and lower dew points it feels a lot more comfortable
than the previous few days. Today’s skies started off with
mostly clear skies and have since transitioned to mostly cloudy
mid level clouds. With seasonable temperatures, light northerly
winds, and lower dew points, today has been a fantastic day to
enjoy everything summer has to offer in the area.
Temperatures remained seasonable today, with an overnight low
of 62F. With all day sunshine, the temperatures have risen to
the low 80’s by the early afternoon. The morning hours featured
dew point values around 60F before slightly dropping to the upper
50’s by the final 1pm observation.
Winds have been on the light to steady side today, with general
flow out of the north-northwest. By the afternoon, the wind has
slightly shifted to the north west. The average wind speed for
the day so far is around 9mph. The peak gust for the day so far
is 21mph, which occurred just before 1pm this afternoon.
Visibility has been pretty decent for this time of year. The day
started with around 50 miles and improved to 60 miles by mid
morning and continuing through the afternoon hours.
The maximum temperature so far today is 82F, which is 1 degree
