PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TODAY UNDER PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH A STEADY
NORTHWESTERLY FLOW….
Today started with mostly cloudy skies and a chilly wind out of
the northwest. Fortunately, we have had plenty of sunshine to
warm things up and there has been a decrease in cloudiness making
this a beautiful start to the month.
Temperatures started in the upper 40’s today with an overnight
low of 43F. Temperatures have increased nicely and almost hitting
normal for this time of year, with a maximum of 61F so far for
the day. Dew points were in the mid to upper 30’s throughout the
day as well.
Winds have been steady out of the northwest for much of the day.
There has been a slight shift to the west-northwest by the early
afternoon. The average speed for the day so far is around 12mph
with gusts in the 18-21mph range. The peak gust so far is 28mph,
which occurred at 8:20am this morning.
Visibility has been a beautiful 70-80 miles today, with visibility
increasing as the afternoon approached. Crisp blue skies and cooler
air have helped.
The maximum temperature so far today is 61F degrees, which is 2
degrees below the normal high of 63F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 43F degrees, which is 1 degree below the normal
temperature of 44F.
