MAINLY CLOUDY AND BREEZY TODAY, BUT WITH MUCH WARMER TEMPERATURES….
A touch of rain moved through overnight bringing with it only
0.02″ of water. Despite the lack of rainfall today, clouds have
been hanging tough with overcast skies. There has been
some brightening of the skies at times however.
Temperatures have been gradually warming through the day, from the
40s early this morning well into the 60s by early this afternoon.
Dew point levels have also been gradually increasing with values
in the low to mid 40s early this morning rising to the mid 50s
by early this afternoon. As such it does feel a touch more humid,
especially compared to the past couple of days.
Winds began increasing last evening and have remained elevated
through the day today. A south-southwest to southwest flow has been
averaging at around 19mph for the day so far. Gusts have been
frequently exceeding 30mph today. The peak gust so far for the day
is 40mph, which occurred just before 7am this morning.
Visibility has been limited through the day due to haziness.
The view has generally been 20-30 miles all day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 65F degrees, which is
10 degrees above the normal high of 55F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 41F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the
normal low of 37F.
