BEAUTIFUL WAY TO WRAP UP THE WEEKEND WITH LIGHT WINDS AND ALL
DAY SUNSHINE….
Skies started off as mostly clear this morning with a gorgeous
golden sunrise. Few cirrus clouds were observed early this
morning and continued to increase as the day progressed. By the
early afternoon there were some altocumulus clouds. It’s been
a beautiful day overall, with light winds and just the right
amount of chill in the air for this time of year.
Temperatures continue to trend cooler today, but are seasonable
and overall pleasant. Dew points have also continued to trend
lower, with dew points in the morning of around 26F and dropping
to around 20F by the early afternoon.
Winds started to decrease early this morning and have remained
on the light side throughout the day. This also came at the same
time that the wind shifted from a northerly flow to off the coast
in the ENE and ESE directions. The average speed for the day is
only around 8mph. The peak gust so far for the day is 26mph which
occurred around 12:09am this morning.
Visibility started strong with around 70 miles of views and then
dropped slightly to 60 miles for the remainder of the observational
period.
The maximum temperature so far today is 54F degrees, which is
1 degree below the normal high of 55F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 35F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the
normal low of 37F.
