ABUNDANT SUNSHINE TODAY WITH A BIT MILDER TEMPERATURES AND
A BIT LESS WIND….
It’s not a bad day today at all thanks to plenty of bright
sunshine, moderate temperatures, and a lessening wind.
Temperatures started the day in the low 30s and have recovered
nicely to the mid 40s by early this afternoon. While it’s still
below normal for the date, it does represent a few degrees
rise from yesterday’s readings. Dew point values have been
holding in the mid 20s today, which is still indicative of a
polar air mass over the region.
The wind continues to be busy, but much less so than the past
2 days. A west-northwesterly wind has been averaging at around
15mph for the day so far. While still gusty, it’s not nearly
as strong as yesterday. The peak gust so far today is 32mph,
which occurred just before 2:45am this morning.
Visibility has been decent today, starting at around 50 miles
early this morning, then increasing to around 70 miles by
late this morning.
The maximum temperature so far today is 46F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 49F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 31F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the
normal low of 33F.
