ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
SATURDAY, AUGUST 16, 2025
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0453E
SUNSET: 1843E
WARMER CONDITIONS RETURN, PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….
Skies began the morning here clear, with not a single cloud in
the sky! Since then, a few small cumulus have developed. With
the abundant sunshine and flow shifting to a more southerly
direction, temperatures today are a bit warmer than yesterday,
but it remains a beautiful day to get outside!
The low this morning was in the low 60s, seasonable for this
time of year. Shortly after sunrise, the temperature began to
climb rapidly, reaching into the mid 80s by the early afternoon.
The dew point has fallen a touch due to mixing, dropping from
the low 60s to the upper 50s, providing a comfortable feel.
Winds have been on the light side today, with an average speed of
only 6mph. The wind did go calm for an hour around 7am, before slowly
picking up again. Direction is variable with light speeds, but is now
out of the south-southwest. The peak gust thus far is only 15mph,
taking place shortly after noon time.
Visibility is limited today, this morning because of pollution
trapped under an inversion, and now due to general haziness. 30
miles is the best the view has gotten so far.
The maximum temperature so far today is 85F degrees, which is
5 degrees above the normal high of 80F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 62F degrees, which is 1 degree below the
normal low of 63F.
