COOLER AND CLOUDY WITH SCATTERED VERY LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS….

Clouds have been the theme today with a few very light rain
showers passing over Blue Hill today. A heavier thunderstorm
did pass north of here and over Boston late this morning, but
thunder was not heard here at Blue Hill. So far only a trace
of rain has been “measured” here at the summit.

Temperatures are much cooler today, and actually have been on
a downward trend as the day has progressed. The high for the
day occurred at midnight when it was in the upper 70s. By the
1pm observation the temperature had dropped into the upper 60s,
which is the low for the day so far. Needless to say, it feels
much better today than it has the past few days.

The wind has been steady out of the northeast today, averaging
at around 10mph. It has been a bit gusty today as well with
gusts exceeding 25mph at times. The peak gust so far the day
is 28mph, which occurred just after 11:45am this morning.

Visibility has been limited today due to haziness, and at times
rain showers. The view has been varying between 10-25 miles
throughout the day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 78F degrees, which is
4 degrees below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 67F degrees, which is 3 degrees above the
normal low of 64F.
