ANOTHER FOGGY MORNING, PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND HUMID CONDITIONS….

This morning we had significant fog in the area. Once the fog lifted
the sun was out for much of the day with a fair mix of cumulus and
altocumulus clouds in the sky. Because of the increase of the dew
point, hazy conditions started to impact the visibility by the early
afternoon hours.

Temperatures have been more seasonable today. Unfortunately, the dew
points have also been on the rise and it has felt quite warm and
sticky out there today. Dew point values started at around 66F this
morning and were up to 71F by the afternoon.

The wind has been light again today, though it’s been slightly more
active than yesterday. Winds have been mostly out of the south-
southwest for much of the morning and has turned more to the south-
southeast by the afternoon. The average speed for the day so far is
around 6mph. The peak gust for the day so far is 17mph, which
occurred right at midnight.

Due to the morning foggy conditions we had limited visibility of
only about 1/4 mile. Once the fog lifted we were able to improve
to around 30-35 miles, though hazy conditions kept us from getting
much more than that.

The maximum temperature so far today is 84F degrees, which is
2 degrees above the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 65F degrees, which is 1 degree above the normal
low of 64F.
