EARLY MORNING STORM BRINGS MORE HUMID AIR, AFTERNOON SUNSHINE….

During the overnight, we experienced a thunderstorm which amounted to
0.19 inches of rain. This is a good start to the month but we are still
-4.72 inches for the season. The humid air mass that moved through left
us with patchy fog for much of the morning followed by sticky dew point
values once the skies cleared.

Temperatures were nearly similar to yesterday, but feel much more mild
since the air is much more humid today. We had an overnight low of 47F
and so far have reached 70F. With more daytime heating expected for this
afternoon it will probably get at least a couple degrees warmer. Our normal
high is 63F so we are already well above that.

Winds were a bit steady earlier on this morning but have since decreased
when the winds shifted from the coast to out of the SW. We have averaged
around 11mph for the day so far. The peak gust of 29mph took place just
before 5am and was out of the SE.

Visibility has been limited throughout the day due to the earlier
mentioned fog and then later by the pollen and higher dew points. We
have only averaged about 20 miles for much of today.

The maximum temperature for today is 70F degrees, which is 7 degrees
above the normal high of 63F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 47F degrees, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 44F.
