CLOUDY AND MILD WITH GUSTY WINDS….
After some very brief sunshine around sunrise this morning, clouds
quickly advanced leaving us with overcast skies for the balance of
the day. An area of light rain did move through between 8-9am this
morning, but it wasn’t enough to register a measurable amount
despite being enough to wet the ground.
Temperatures are quite mild for today. As a matter of fact, the low
for the day is a balmy 41F degrees. Readings have reached the mid
50s early this afternoon despite the lack of sunshine. The dew
point has been in the low to mid 40s as well, indicating a stark
increase in moisture content in the air, especially compared to the
past few days.
Winds have been busy today out of the south-southwest. The average
speed for the day so far is around 20mph. Gusts have been frequently
exceeding 30mph since the mid morning hours, with a peak gust so far
of 40mph which has occurred multiple times.
Visibility has been limited today thanks to thin fog and general
haziness. The view has been limited to generally 20-35 miles, except
briefly getting below 10 miles during the period of light rain this
morning.
The maximum temperature for today is 54F degrees, which is 13 degrees
above the normal high of 41F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 41 degrees, which is 17 degrees above the normal low of 24F.
