A TOUCH OF LIGHT SNOW VERY EARLY THIS MORNING CHANGING TO PERIODS
OF LIGHT RAIN….
Our latest weather system started as a period of light snow very early
this morning. It managed to accumulate to 0.1″ before changing over to
rain. Periods of light rain have been occurring off and on throughout
the day. 0.04″ of liquid has been measured so far for the day, all of
it up until 7am this morning, with only an additional 0.01″ being
recorded since then as the rain has been mainly on the very light side
to this point.
Temperatures cooled to 33F this morning during the snow, but have been
slowly rising through the morning reaching the upper 40s by early this
afternoon.
Winds have been steady for the most part today, averaging around 12mph
out of the south-southeast and south. It has been gusty at times with
the peak gust so far for the day 32mph, occurring just before 1pm.
Visibility has been limited at times by precipitation, as low as a few
miles during the snow, otherwise it’s been averaging about 20-30 miles
for the most part today.
The maximum temperature for today is 49F degrees, which is 9 degrees
above the normal high of 40F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 33F degrees, which is 11 degrees above the normal low of 22F.
