PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TO START, THEN A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS; STILL ON
THE MILD SIDE….
The first part of the day was brilliant with plenty of blue skies and
pretty clear air. However, as daytime heating got underway, low level
stratocumulus clouds began to develop by the late morning hours and
are now at broken coverage early this afternoon.
Temperatures remain on the mild side despite being a touch cooler
than yesterday. Regardless readings are still running more than 10F
degrees above normal this afternoon with readings pushing into the
low 50s.
Winds are gusty today out of the northwest with speeds averaging
around 14mph for the day. Gusts over 20mph became frequent as we
approached the noon hour. The peak gust for the day so far is 30mph
which occurred just after noon time.
Visibility has been excellent all day ranging from 60-70 miles.
The maximum temperature for today is 51F degrees, which is 12 degrees
above the normal high of 39F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 35F degrees, which is 13 degrees above the normal low of 22F.
