THE FEEL OF FALL WITH UNSEASONABLY COOL AND BRISK CONDITIONS UNDER
A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS….

We started the day with clear skies and chilly temperatures. As day
time heating commenced this morning, stratocumulus clouds quickly
began to form and increase in coverage thanks in part to very chilly
air aloft. As such, the sun has been playing peek-a-boo, hiding
behind the clouds at times. Nonetheless, it’s been a very nice fall
day despite the chill.

Temperatures started the day in the low 40s, and has only risen to
the upper 50s by early this afternoon. This is a few degrees below
the expected temperature for this date. The dew point has been fairly
steady in the low 40s.

Winds have been gusty today, adding to the chilly feel today. The
northwest flow has been averaging at around 12mph for the day so far.
Gusts over 20mph have been common through the day so far, with a
peak gust of 30mph which occurred just before 8:30am.

The maximum temperature so far today is 59F, which is 4 degrees
below the normal high of 63F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 42F, which is 4 degrees below the normal low of 46F.
