A GORGEOUS WEATHER DAY WITH EXCELLENT VISIBILITY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

We observed great weather conditions today, with a cool westerly breeze
this afternoon. Skies are partly cloudy and the visibility is averaging
80 miles with a glimpse of 85 miles at the 10 A.M. observation. Rainfall
overnight totaled 0.04 inches. Wind is around 15 mph on average with frequent
gusts over 20 mph.

Temperatures were cooler today, and some trees around the summit are turning
orange and yellow; signaling the approach of Fall.

The maximum temperature so far today is 70F, which is 6 degrees below
the normal high of 76F. The minimum temperature since midnight is 50F,
which is 8 degrees below the normal low of 58F.
