VERY WARM AND HUMID TODAY UNDER PARTLY SUNNY SKIES….
Summer weather returns today with very warm temperatures and high
dew points making for muggy conditions. Sunshine has been mixing
with clouds of various coverage and heights today An area of mid
level clouds moved through early this morning, followed by mainly
high clouds through the late morning hours. Low level convective
clouds developed early this afternoon and have been enough to
block the sun at times.
Temperatures have warmed into the mid-upper 80s this afternoon
with the dew point reaching the low 70s. This is borderline
oppressive humidity levels. Thankfully there is a breeze today
to help mitigate the stuffiness a bit.
As mentioned, winds have been busy today with an average speed
so far of around 14mph. The direction has gradually veered from
the southwest to the northwest. Frequent gusts have reached
between 20-25mph, with a peak gust so far of 30mph, which occurred
just after 11am.
Visibility has been quite limited again today due to haziness. The
view has only been between 15-30 miles once again today.
The maximum temperature so far today is 87F, which is 8 degrees
above the normal high of 79F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 66F, which is 5 degrees above the normal low of 61F.
