A SPLENDID START TO METEOROLOGICAL SUMMER….

It has been a gorgeous day out so far! Abundant sunshine, warm
temperatures and low humidity have created the perfect day to
get outdoors.

The temperature began the morning in the low 50s, which is normal
for the beginning of June, and quickly rose thereafter. We have since
reached the upper 70s and are still climbing. The dew point has
fallen to the low 40s, creating a pleasant feel.

Winds were more active overnight and slowed through the early morning.
They have since picked up a bit, but remain on the light side.
The average so far today is 8mph, mostly out of the north-northwest.
The peak gust so far is approximately 20mph a bit before 4:30am.

The visibility began the day fairly good, with a view of 50 miles.
Since then, pollen in the air has brought views down to 40 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 78F degrees, which is
7 degrees above the normal high of 71F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 48F degrees, which is equal to the normal low
of 53F.
