A DELIGHTFUL LATE SPRING DAY WITH PLEASANT TEMPERATURES AND
COMFORTABLE HUMIDITY LEVELS….

Clear skies this morning have filled with cumulus clouds as
the day time heating did it’s work on the atmosphere. There
is limited vertical development with the cumulus, so they are
tending to spread out in the mid levels as altocumulus. So
this afternoon is characterized as having more clouds then
sun, at least for the time being. Nonetheless, it’s still
quite a nice day out there.

Temperatures have warmed into the low to mid 70s early this
afternoon, which is only a touch above normal levels. The dew
point has been in the low to mid 50s all day, so the air has
a very comfortable feel, especially compared to the past few
days.

Winds have generally been on the light side out of the west-
northwest to northwest. It has shown some signs of trying to
pick up a bit early this afternoon, likely due to some mixing
of the atmosphere. Either way, the average speed thus far is
only around 8mph. The peak gust for the day so far was way
back between midnight and 1am with a value of 21mph.

Visibility has been pretty decent today despite the pollen
induced haziness. The view has been around 60 miles all day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 75F degrees, which is
5 degrees above the normal high of 70F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 57F degrees, which is 5 degrees above the
normal low of 52F.
