MAINLY CLOUDY SKIES, A BIT COOLER, AND BRISK TODAY….

While today is still on the mild side, a cold front pushed
through last evening bringing a bit of a cooler air mass into
the region. The front was accompanied by some light rain
showers which deposited 0.02″ of water in the rain gauge.

Skies have remained mainly on the cloudy side with only some
filtered sunshine through high clouds today.

A brisk west-northwest wind has been blowing today as well with
frequent gusts over 20mph. The average speed so far for the day
is around 13mph. The peak gust so far is 30mph, occurring at
around 10:30am this morning.

Visibility started the day a bit limited, with a view of around
40 miles. However the view improved markedly during the mid
morning hours, and has reached 80 miles by early this afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 45F degrees, which is
9 degrees above the normal high of 36F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 37F degrees, which is 18 degrees above the
normal low of 19F.
