QUITE THE CONTRAST TO YESTERDAY’S WEATHER, FOR SURE….
We received 0.31 inches of rainfall from the event yesterday,
but the main feature was the wind! The max gust was 54 mph,
with frequent gusts above 40 mph.
Today is much more normal for this time of year, as
temperatures climb into the low 40’s with an overnight
low below freezing. Visibility is an amazing 90 miles
this afternoon, which is the highest we can see from
the observatory!
Wind is northwest at only 10 mph. Skies have begun
to cloud over with some thinner cirrostratus to accompany
the relatively dry and cool weather.
The high so far today is 41F, which is 3 degrees below
the normal maximum of 44F. The low since midnight is 30F,
which is 2 degrees above the normal low of 28F.
