MOVING BACK TO GOOD WEATHER AFTER A SOAKING RAINFALL
LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING….

Today started off rainy with 1.51 inches falling overnight
and 0.66 inches falling after the 7 A.M. observation. This
gives us a storm total of 2.17 inches!

This makes a sizable dent in the rainfall deficit, bringing
it down to around 9 inches for the year. The surplus for
the month is at 1.11 inches.

Today featured limited visibility due to fog, with the observer
only seeing a 1/2 mile at best in the morning hours. The
afternoon still had overcast skies, but the visibility did
improve to around 15 miles as the sun burns its way through
the fog.

The highest wind of the rain event happened at around 5:00 P.M.
last night, being 39 mph from the SSE. This is a major contrast
to the light and variable winds seen this afternoon.

The low since midnight is 57F, 12 degrees above the normal low
of 45F. The high so far today is 66F, which is 4 degrees above
the normal maximum of 62F.
