EXTREMELY PLEASANT WITH WARM AND DRY AIR UNDER SUNNY SKIES….
The only complaint one may have today is the very high pollen
count. As a matter of fact, there is so much pollen in the air
the visibility has been restricted to 45-50 miles today.
Otherwise it’s a spectacular day with abundant sunshine and
temperatures rising into the mid and upper 70s. The dew point
is very comfortable with readings in the lower 40s! It doesn’t
get much better than this in early June.
The wind has been generally out of a NW to NNW direction today
with speeds generally under 10mph. At times it has gotten a
little gusty with speeds upwards to 20mph, but for the most
part it’s been quite tolerable.
Unfortunately we are still holding a hefty deficit in the
rainfall department with the month now 0.50″ below normal,
and the year to date now at 5.52″ below normal. According
to the Drought Monitor, the area is under moderate drought
conditions.
The high so far today is 73F, which is 1 degree above the
normal maximum of 72F. The low since midnight is 50F, which
4 degrees below the normal minimum of 54F.
