COOL AND DRY WITH INCREASING SUNSHINE ON BLUE HILL….

We observed fair weather conditions today, with a cool,
springlike morning as an opener. Wind was light and variable
for the most part, mostly coming in from the east. Skies
were partly cloudy.

Visibility has been very good all day holding around 70
miles.

The lack of rainfall is really starting to become concerning
with the Drought Monitor now having eastern Massachusetts
and Rhode Island classified as abnormally dry. The rainfall
deficits here on the hill are running -2.10″ for the month,
and is now -4.60″ for the year to date.

The high so far today is 73F, which is 4 degrees above the
normal maximum of 69F. The low since midnight is 48F, which
is 3 degrees below the normal minimum of 51F.
