BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
SUNDAY, MAY 1, 2022
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0439E
SUNSET: 1844E
VERY FINE WEATHER TODAY WITH PLENTY OF SUN AND MILD TEMPERATURES….
Doesn’t get much better than this. Wall to wall sunshine with
light and variable wind. Temperatures are very comfortable with
readings in the mid 60s. So far Blue Hill has been able to avoid
the sea-breeze despite the fact wind speeds are generally under
6mph.
While the weather is excellent for outdoor activity, the lack of
rainfall the past couple of months is making for rather dry
conditions. A large brush fire is currently on-going about 4 miles
ENE of Blue Hill within the Blue Hills Reservation.
Visibility has been excellent today, holding at around 70 miles.
The high so far today is 66F, which is 3 degrees above the
normal maximum of 63F. The low since midnight is 40F, which
is 4 degrees below the normal minimum of 44F.
