STRONG TO GALE FORCE SOUTH TO SOUTH-SOUTHWEST WINDS TODAY
VERY WARM CONDITIONS FOR NOVEMBER 1st
RAINFALL IN VERY SMALL AMOUNTS ON OCTOBER 31
Only 0.05 inch of rainfall occurred on October 31 bringing
the monthly total to a 7th driest 1.09 inches and 3.60 below
the 30-year normal. (See list below). Also October has finish 2.6
degrees above average. The full October report will be out soon.
Winds have been increasing overnight with rising temperatures
through the 60’s. The peak gusts have reached 50 to 60 mph
from the SSW this morning and temperatures have risen from
61 degrees very early this morning to 67 degrees by 9 A.M. EDT.
Between the 11AM and Noon hour we received a windswept downpour that
gave us an estimated 0.10 inches of rain in a short period of time. Visibility
dropped to less then 1 mile and had sustained winds around 40 MPH. A unconfirmed
gust to about 65 mph occurred in the downpour.
